Dickey also has five consecutive quality starts… Dickey had 12 consecutive quality starts to end last season… James McDonald has been brilliant as of late, and has 44 strikeouts in his last 34.2 innings of work… Jon Niese gave up 8 runs his last time out, which raised his ERA from 3.40 to 4.35… Niese allowed just 2 home runs vs. left-handed hitters in 2011… Charlie Morton, who has struggled to find consistency, is 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA in his last three starts… Former Pirate Jason Bay is on the DL with a non-displaced rib fracture… Ronny Cedeno makes his return to Pittsburgh after signing with the Mets in the offseason… David Wright has been crushing the ball, hitting .424 with 4 HR and 24 RBI… Ike Davis, who missed 126 games last season, is hitting just .163 in 39 games this season… There are no PNC Park promotions for this series.
