PNC Experience: Manny’s BBQ

Since PNC Park opened, one of the most popular food stands at the ballpark has been Manny’s BBQ out on the Riverwalk.

Named after former Pirates catcher Manny Sanguillen, Manny’s BBQ features barbeque beef and pork sandwiches and platters. Before every game, Manny generously sits at the stand and signs autographs for fans.

Like any ballpark food, it is a little bit on the expensive side but it’s certainly hard to pass up. A sandwich will cost around $7 and a platter a few dollars more. A drink is not included with a sandwich or platter, so that will add a couple dollars to your total. Still, Manny’s BBQ is tough to miss out on while at PNC Park. It should continue to be a mainstay behind the batter’s eye in center field for years to come.

  1. Manny’s is pretty damned tasty BBQ! While it may be a tad on the expensive side, the portions are very fair for the price. And getting to meet one of my Pirate idols was a tear-inducing incident (yeah, yeah, I know. Shaddap.)

Note: Manny does “hang out” at the stand, but is typically gone by the end of the 4th or 5th inning – a fact I didn’t know on my first trip to PNC… heartbreaking! So, if you wanna meet Sangy (ha also poses for pics with fans – I treasure the shot I have!), make sure it’s one of your first stops in the park
