…and the answers to tonight’s #134PiratesTrivia are…
Roberto Clemente and Neil Walker
Last season, the Pirates opened against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on April 1st. “The Pittsburgh Kid” Neil Walker crushed one in the top of the 5th off of Cubs starter Ryan Dempster, scoring Ryan Doumit, Ronny Cedeno, and Jose Tabata. The Pirates went on to win the game, 6-3.
In 1962, the Pirates opened their season (ironically enough) against the Philadelphia Phillies at Forbes Field. “The Great One” Roberto Clemente hit a grand slam off of Jim Owens, scoring Dick Groat, Bob Skinner, and Dick Stuart. The Pirates won the game 6-0.
Congratulations to tonight’s winners: @nhdrumline11, @18nalax, @jay_stint, @BurgFaninNJ, @johnlucas18, @gustaggart, @sgrass05, and @mark_quis.
